4 A’s can help you avoid a craving in the first place!

1. Avoid people who you normally smoke with.

2. Keep Alternatives handy (lozenge, sugar free candy).

3. Alter Habits– ditch the coffee add water or juice

4. Activities– exercise or projects that keep your hands busy.

READY TO QUIT SMOKING?

Here are a few quit tips to get you started: 
1) Set a quit date within the next two weeks. Then GET EXCITED!

2) Figure out when and where you smoke, then come up with a plan to deal with those times and places.

3) Load up on healthy snacks to keep your fingers and mouth busy.

4) Drink lots of water to get your metabolism moving and toxins out.

Freedom from Smoking is an 8-week class designed by the American Lung Association to help participants quit.  Class topics include stress management, recognizing triggers and identifying was to deal with cravings.
